  1. The Sailing Committee reserves the right to refuse any application.
  2. The Club will not accept any responsibility for any damage to any boat howsoever caused. Boats on Club premises and moorings are there entirely at t he owner's risk.
  3. The safety of all boats and their equipment is entirely the responsibility of the Owner(s).
  4. It is mandatory that all boats on Club property or moorings have marine insurance cover in place providing a minimum of £2 million third party liability cover.
  5. All boats, their cover and trolley must be clearly identified with at least the boat's name or sail number whilst on Club premises and moorings. This applies particularly to Lasers, Toppers, Picos and the like which must have a name on the hull. Separate road trailers must be removed from the Club.
  6. The Club will inform you if mooring or boat parking space has been allocated to you and will send you an invoice in March. Please do not send us money until you receive an invoice.
  7. Once you have paid for your mooring or boat parking space you will be issued with a sticker to indicate that you have been allocated space and that it has been paid for. It is most important that the sticker is displayed so that it can be seen even when the boat is covered. Thw Club will make an additional charge of £10 for boats not displaying a current sticker.
  8. If you sell or change your boat you must inform the Club. Please ask for a form. You do not have the right to transfer the mooring or parking space to the new owner if you sell your boat as this would allow the new owner to jump the queue.
  9. Please ensure you have read and understood Club rule No. 27 re procedures for non-payment of boat parking/mooring fees, abandoned boats, notification, removal and disposal policy.
  10. Boats on Club moorings and premises must be maintained in sound seaworthy condition and any ancillary equipment, e.g. launching trolleys and covers, should be kept in a servicable condition. The Club reserves the right to remove any boat that is not seaworthy.
  11. Boat parking and mooring at BHYC is provided on a yearly contractual basis and due to the limited number of spaces available there is always a waiting. Members allocated spaces and mooring are expected to use their boats on a regular basis, especially during the summer. For boats not being used on a regular basis, the Club reserves the right to move the boats offsite or ask the owners to remove them.
