During the summer, ad hoc joint cruises will be organised by individual members. A two night cruise at the beginning and end of the season will be organised for the Section. Also it has been suggested that a cruise/rally round the Nab might be organised. As with last year, cruisers are invited to join the sailing section annual Wayfarer cruise and to join in the Club Regattas. A link with the cruising programme of the RVYC is to be established and members will be informed of rallies suitable for us to join.

I shall keep members informed as the occassion warrants during the year. If there are any changes to your e-mail or phone details please do let me know. Finally please try to participate in the activities for which the cups available to the Section (Log, Individual Achievement, Round the Island Race, and Cock-up) are awarded, and think of suitable nominees.

Hi Everyone,

A reminder of the Annual Cruising Dinner on the 7th March 19:30 for 20:00 hrs. Dress smart casual, details and menu are on the Club noticeboard.
This year's Boat Jumble is to be held on Sunday March 30th 08:00 – 11:00 hrs. Pitches £5 in the car park as usual.
The Round the Island Race is on Saturday 28th June. Club members who enter are eligible for the Club RIR Trophy. The Club Wayfarers are having a Round the Island Race/Rally to which Club cruisers are invited, on Sunday 29th June/27th July depending on the weather. Other Wayfarer cruises are to be held on Sunday July 13th and Monday August 25th (Bank Holiday) as part of the Regatta weekend. Cruisers are again invited to join in.
I have received a list of planned rallies from the RVYC, to which BHYC members are invited. Please let me know in the first instance if you plan to go on any.

21-22nd June Chichester Rally
19-20th July Beaulieu River Rally (at RSYC Gins Farm Clubhouse)
23-25th August Poole Rally (at Poole YC)
The Westerly Owners Association is holding a Channel Islands Rally 18-27th June. Details available later.
A new Club member, Nina Moorman, has some cruising experience and is looking for the opportunity for some crewing experience during the summer. She will be at the dinner.
