Slow Handicap Class consists of any boat that has a PYS handicap more than 1250. The boats this principally includes are Lasers, Picos, Toppers, Herons, Mirrors, Cadets and Optimists.

Brading Haven Yacht Club has 3 Pico’s, 7 Toppers and 6 Optimists, which are available to competent people to sail as well as for training.

There are also a number of Herons and Mirrors based at the club.

We like to see as many of these boats out sailing even if they are not racing. Racing with other boats help you improve your sailing technique and therefore makes your enjoyment of the sport all the better.

Please pass your comments about what you would like to see the class do, on to me, if not, see as many of you as possible on the water.

Slow Handicap Class News If you don't have a Slow boat, why not borrow a Club Boat (Optimist, Topper and Pico) for £10 per session.
