The Management Committee of Brading Haven Yacht Club are delighted to announce that Mark Brown and Lea Court will commence a catering franchise at the Club on New Year's Eve 2017.
For Members with long memories, Mark catered at the Club in the late 1990s first as chef when Julian held the franchise and later as the franchise holder in his own right. He left in 2002 to take the post of executive chef with the V-Ships fleet.
Mark lives in Ryde with his wife and daughter. He is a well-qualified chef and has worked in a range of establishments in the UK and abroad. He brings experience gained as 'Chef Saucier' at the Ritz and 'Chef de Partie' on the QE2 in his early career and as 'Head Chef' in a variety of hotels. Additionally, Mark has a History degree from the OU, and a Certificate in Further Education Teaching and was for several years 'Chef Lecturer' at Isle of Wight College.
Lea will work with Mark and will operate 'Front of House' at BHYC. Her background is in catering, kitchen management and as an assistant manager in a care home.
