Future Sailors Program Level 2 Block 3
Take your sailing skills to the next level in this exciting 3-day afterschool program designed for sailors who already understand the basics and are ready for more independence on the water. Ideal for students with prior beginner sailing experience, this course focuses on improving boat handling, decision-making, teamwork, and confidence in a variety of sailing conditions.
Across three 3-hour sessions, sailors will refine core techniques while learning more advanced sailing concepts such as efficient sail trim, upwind and downwind sailing, tacking and jibing with control, launching and docking procedures, and introductory racing or navigation skills. Participants will spend significant time on the water practicing maneuvers, problem-solving, and working as a crew under instructor guidance.

Who Can Join
Recommended for sailors ages 8+ who have completed a stage 2 sailing course or have equivalent experience steering and handling a sailboat independently.
What to Bring
Students should wear weather-appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes that can get wet, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and a change of clothes if desired.
By the end of the program, sailors will feel more confident handling a boat independently, responding to changing wind conditions, and applying intermediate sailing techniques on the water.
