Future Sailors Program Level 1 Block 3
Set sail after school and discover the fundamentals of sailing in a fun, safe, and hands-on environment. This beginner-friendly 3-day program is designed for students with little or no sailing experience who want to learn the basics of being on the water while building confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Over three engaging 3-hour sessions, participants will learn essential sailing terminology, water safety, boat handling, steering, sail control, knot tying, and teamwork through a mix of shore-based instruction and on-the-water practice. Students will gain practical experience operating small sailboats under instructor guidance while developing independence and confidence on the water.

Who Can Join
Perfect for beginner sailors ages 8+ with no prior experience required. Participants should be comfortable around water and prepared for outdoor activity.
What to Bring
Students should wear weather-appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes that can get wet, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and a change of clothes if desired.
By the end of the program, students will have a strong introduction to sailing fundamentals and the confidence to continue exploring the sport.
