Future Sailors Program Level 2 Block 4

During the practical sessions on the 22nd and 23rd, sailors will focus on race starts and basic racing rules. Emphasis will be placed on positioning on the start line, timing, and accelerating effectively at the start signal. Sailors will also be introduced to key rules of racing, helping them to sail safely, fairly, and confidently in a competitive environment.

The workshop session on the 24th will focus on communication for double-handed sailing. Participants will learn how to communicate clearly and effectively with a partner, improving coordination, decision-making, and overall performance when sailing as a team.

Overall, this week provides an exciting introduction to racing, while also developing the communication skills needed to succeed in double-handed boats.
