Future Sailors Program Level 3 Block 2
During the practical sessions on the 21st and 22nd, sailors will concentrate on improving their hiking technique, helping them to maintain better balance and maximise boat speed. In addition, they will practise essential safety and control skills, including man overboard procedures and coming alongside. These exercises are designed to build confidence, improve coordination, and ensure sailors can respond effectively in real-life situations on the water.
The workshop session on the 20th will focus on nutrition for athletes. Sailors will learn about the importance of proper fueling, hydration, and recovery, and how these factors impact energy levels, focus, and overall performance during sailing and other physical activities.
Overall, this week combines technical skill development with an understanding of personal performance, supporting sailors in becoming more capable, confident, and well-prepared both on and off the water.
