Future Sailors Program Level 1 Block 2
During the practical sessions on the 21st and 22nd, sailors will work on refining their tacking technique and learning how to effectively round marks. Emphasis will be placed on boat control, positioning, and maintaining speed through each manoeuvre. These skills are essential for both general sailing and the introduction to racing scenarios, helping sailors to build confidence and accuracy on the water.
The workshop session will focus on sport nutrition. Sailors will explore how proper hydration and balanced diets contribute to energy, focus, and performance while sailing. This session aims to develop an understanding of how to prepare physically for time on the water and maintain performance throughout the day.
Overall, this week combines practical skill progression with an awareness of physical wellbeing, helping sailors to improve both their sailing ability and overall performance.
