OnBoard Prize Giving 20th September 2023

We celebrated the achievements of the cadets who took part in the Spence Willard After School Sailing last Wednesday. Spence Willard sponsored the scheme and prizes at the club and we were fortunate to have Sam Branston from Spence Willard to join us and to present the cadets with their certificates and prizes.

Throughout the Summer Term, 48 cadets took part in the RYA On Board Scheme where the young people were encouraged to develop six characteristics of Creativity, Team Work, Determination , Communication, Independence and Confidence.

In addition, Reuben Whiting was awarded his Assistant Instructor T. Shirt for completing his course at BHYC in the summer.

Evan Greszczyszyn-Rico was awarded best overall After School Cadet.

Well done to all the cadets and thank you to the dinghy instructors and the onshore support who made this happen.
