RNLI 200 Celebration - 17th August

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) celebrates 200 years of saving lives at sea - thanks to volunteers, like those at Bembridge lifeboat station, giving their time to save others, all funded by voluntary public donations.On the 17th of August we have a whole day of events for everyone to enjoy:9:30 to 12:30 The RNLB Alfred Albert Williams visit - a chance for a close-up look over this super 17 metre Tamar class vessel (subject of course to weather and possible callouts!)
10:00 to 12:30 The RNLI Pennant Race
All morning - Bacon rolls served by the galley
12:00 - RNLB Alfred Albert Williams leaves the harbour, escorted by a procession of club boats.
12:30 to 14:30 - Pimms Party, with non-alcoholic options and hot bite buffet served by the galley, all members and their guests welcome. Tickets £12.50 - the signup list is in the foyer.
All afternoon - Bar open!
19:00 - Party and dancing all evening with DJ Jerry on the decks, all welcome and best of all its FREE entry!!
